Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes are designed for adults who are proficient in English but want to improve their reading, math, or writing skills. This course serves as a skill-building class to assist in obtaining a high school diploma or GED certification. It also aids students in increasing their CASAS Reading and Math scores. In addition, it serves as a preparation course and basic skills improvement for some Career and Technical Education careers. ABE combines instructional-based learning techniques with supportive educational software such as Aztec.
