Course Description for Nurse Assistant Training Program

Formerly CNA

Our NATP is a six-week course that prepares students to take the state board exam to become a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Students spend two weeks in a classroom for a theory portion, followed by four weeks of hands-on training in a clinical setting.

This course has very specific requirements as mandated by the California Department of Public Health.  All students are required to have 100 hours of attendance in the clinical hours in order to complete the program.  Make-up time is NOT available.

Additionally, students who miss the first day of class or have an excessive number of absences will be dropped from the program.  Students who are dropped due to attendance issues will not receive a refund.

*All NATP students must take and pass the pre-requisite class Technical Employment PRIOR to starting the NATP course.

How to Register

  • Attend a  registration and testing date.
  • Turn in NATP packet you were given during registration. Bring in your completed NATP packet along with your tuition fee and you will be placed in the next available NATP class.
